First aid workshop for parents at the Panther & Lianen pediatric practice.
A fall, a febrile convulsion or choking - something can happen quickly in everyday life with children. In our 3-hour workshop, you will learn in a practical way how to react correctly and confidently in the most common emergency situations.
Location: Pediatric practice Panther & Lianen, Winnweiler
Duration: about 3 hours
For: Parents, grandparents, caregivers and other interested parties - also useful before birth
Costs: single person: 45€, couple: 80€

Consultation hours during the holidays
Our practice will also be open for you around Christmas:
On December 22 and 23, December 29 and 30, 2025, and January 2, 2026, we will be offering emergency consultation hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Our practice will be closed on December 24 and December 31, 2025.

The infection season is slowly but surely starting up again.
Time to start thinking about vaccinations!
For all infants born from April 2025 onwards, the Standing Committee on Vaccination (StIKo) recommends immunoprophylaxis against RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) through the administration of the monoclonal antibody Nirsevimab (Beyfortus), in order to protect our little ones from severe courses of viral infection.
Seasonal influenza can also lead to severe illness. So far, StIKo has primarily recommended the flu vaccine for children with chronic illnesses. However, both the WHO and the Commission on Infectious Diseases & Vaccination Issues now clearly advocate vaccinating healthy children from the age of 6 months as well.

Architecture Day 2025 - We are part of it!
On Saturday 28 June 2025, we will open our doors for Rhineland-Palatinate Architecture Day. From 2–6 p.m., we look forward to welcoming familiar and unfamiliar faces to our practice, showing you around our premises, and offering the kids a fun programme of games. We look forward to seeing you!

Hohohoho! Christmas will soon be upon us again - we would like to take this opportunity to inform you about our opening hours:
Our practice will be closed on December 24 and 31. Please contact the surrounding pediatric clinics in acute cases. You will find the relevant telephone numbers under 'Emergencies'. For acute illnesses or emergencies, we will be there for you on December 23, 27 and 30 as well as on January 2 and 3, from 8 am to 1 pm!

Flu season 2024/25
The flu season is just around the corner and it's time again to think about protecting our little ones. An influenza infection can have serious health consequences. Vaccination is the best way to prevent severe cases and reduce the spread of the virus. The Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) recommends the flu vaccination especially for children with certain pre-existing conditions, but the vaccination also makes sense for healthy children in order to protect themselves and others.
In our practice, we now offer immunization by nasal spray (approved for children from 6 months of age - not covered by health insurance) in addition to the injection vaccination (approved for children from 2 years of age). We are also happy to vaccinate you as parents or relatives on request!

We are a pediatric practice newly founded in 2024 with a focus on
general pediatrics, neonatology and pediatric cardiology. You can therefore expect an exciting and varied field of activity.

Neue StIKo Empfehlungen zur RSV Prophylaxe
Dear parents,
recently, the Standing Committee on Vaccination of the German Government (STIKO) has recommended passive immunization of children under one year of age during their first RSV season (autumn/winter) – regardless of the presence of potential risk factors – using the monoclonal antibody Nirsevimab. The goal is to prevent or reduce severe RSV infections of the lower respiratory tract in newborns and infants.
Newborns should be vaccinated before being discharged from the birthing facility—please discuss this with them. All other children born between April and September of this year can be vaccinated in our practice. The vaccine is prescribed via a health insurance prescription and must be brought to the appointment refrigerated from the pharmacy. Please feel free to contact us with any questions at any time.
